Fall Musings

I took the last few months off from writing as I was travelling and visiting with family and friends in British Columbia, Canada, a place near and dear to my heart having lived there for 25 years. I miss the mountains and ocean, but these yearly visits replenish my soul and allow me to connect to its special energy and its more-than-human beings.

I am back to my daily practice of meditation and gratitude. Meditation was challenging to do because I was rarely alone, but my prayer of thanksgiving continued throughout my journey. Now that I have resumed my meditation, I asked Spirit what they wished for me to share in this blog. They want me to discuss what we construe as past lives again. They reminded me that one does not have to undergo a past life regression to remember another life you have lived.

Sometimes, as I have experienced, they come through in dreams. Starting at a young age, I had many dreams of other times and other places where I was someone else living another life. There was consistency and resonance in the dreams, so it was relatively easy to glean that they must have been other lives my soul has experienced or is experiencing in another reality.

Visions also provide information to me about other realities I am experiencing. Strangely, though, I tend to have more visions of the past rather than the future. Future lives are less common for me although I have had some. Perhaps they are less interesting to me because they cannot be verified in the same way as the ones from the past. Either way, visions can be a profound avenue for accessing this kind of knowledge.

Spirit also reminded me that clues of other lives can come through when one feels particularly drawn to something. For instance, a dear friend loves all things Scottish, yet she has never been there and does not have Scottish ancestry. I am convinced that she has lived a life in Scotland or will do so in what we perceive to be the future although all time exists now. Predilections can be hints of another life. Have you ever visited a new place and it felt very familiar to you? I recall flying into a city and when stepping onto the tarmac, I was overcome with emotion, for I felt like I had gone home; however, I had never been there prior to that. Hobbies or skills you possess may also be remnants of another life that you have carried into this one.

In essence, Spirit is asking that you pay attention to such things. Be more mindful of your dreams, visions, likes and dislikes as they may indeed provide valuable information on other realities and give you a rounder and fuller picture of who you are in this life. For those who ascribe to the old cliche that, "We only live one life," you may want to re-think that because we have all had many lives whether they are here or off-planet, but that's for another blog on another day.
