New Beginnings

For those of us in colder climates, spring is in the air while others who live in warmer locations, it has sprung already. Spring is one of my favourite seasons because it represents new beginnings. Everything is fresh after a long, cold winter. New buds blossom, birds return north again, and the days become longer. People spend more time outside and optimism is in the air. Life is anew again.
Spring reminds me of the different incarnations humans get to experience. Many people call them as past lives, and I also tend to label them as such although I believe that time is manmade and all exists at once. So, whether your other lives occurred in the past or are occurring right now in another reality or dimension, the important aspect to this is that your soul gets many new beginnings and experiences to help it evolve.
Reincarnation, explained simply, is really the assurance of the immortality of the soul. It assumes that your soul came into this life after many different existences (or during if you believe like I do that all time is simultaneous). Some refer to it as the process of birth and rebirth. Others believe in the theory of oversouls whereby a higher self has many incarnations simultaneously. Think of it as a spider web with the soul, or higher self, in the middle, and each strand in the web as a different life but all connected to the core of the web which is your higher self. Some think of it as a computer with many programs open at the same time. Each program symbolizes a different existence and the computer symbolizes the higher self. There is a great trilogy that I fell in love with in the 90s by author Jane Roberts regarding oversouls. The Oversoul 7 trilogy is based on the numerous sessions she channelled with an evolved spirit named Seth. I highly recommend the trilogy especially if you want to explore more about this concept, existence, and reincarnation.
Reincarnation is a fundamental tenet in many societies including Indigenous peoples in North and South America. We have all heard the accounts of children who recall another life and can describe it in great detail, even their own deaths. In fact, there have been scientific studies that illustrate such cases. Dr. Ian Stevenson, a Canadian-born American psychologist studied children, for decades, who claimed to have lived other lives. Dr. Jim Tucker, who took over from Dr. Stevenson in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia has also been studying children with past-life memories. Skeptics simply chalk it up to vivid imaginations, but past life regressionists/hypnotists will also attest to the power of recalling another life. In many cases, recollecting such memories helps the person to overcome many challenges they face in their life now. A person with an extreme fear of water may recall that they drowned in another life, or a person whose heart was broken by a loved one may learn that they hurt that person in another incarnation. Recalling these memories often frees the person from their fears or phobias or gives them insight to their current situation. Many who have experienced past life regressions find them very informative and helpful.
I grew up with my mother often saying she was a man in another life. She was a pragmatic woman who was a stay at home mom grounded in reality and small-town living. She was very psychic although she didn't use her skills in any significant way. Mom also said she had another life during the 1920s during prohibition when alcohol was banned. Prohibition gave rise to the American mafia, and she recalled a life where she became a victim of the mafia, and as a result, always had a fear of them. I, too, had a similar fear and just thought it was just residual angst from my mother. That is, until I had a dream where I found myself in the 1930s in what looked like a Chevrolet Standard and involved, somehow, with the mafia. It was very realistic with details I would not know in this life until looking researching to confirm that they were accurate.
My dreams have revealed a plethora of other lives I have lived. One, in particular, was of a life in the Carolinas in the southern United States. This was a recurring dream, although of different scenes and times, throughout many years. This was long before the internet, so researching was very difficult although I certainly did spend time combing over microfiches and books in the local library. I was able to confirm several details of my dream such as architecture, expressions, industry of that era, and locale. Eventually, I joined a past-life association and had a past life regression. Sure enough, I found myself back in this life with even more recollections than what was revealed through my dreams. It was extraordinary to have confirmation of my dream, but more importantly, it gave me a good deal of insight into the life I am now living.
I recall numerous other lives, some through dreams, others spontaneously, and even some more through regression. During COVID, I decided to have another past-life regression as it had been decades since the last one. This was done remotely on Zoom by Simon Bown, a past life regression therapist in the UK. He is also the host of my two favourite podcasts, "Our Paranormal Afterlife," and "Alien UFO." Once again, this regression took me back to the life in the Carolinas, but just as we were concluding, I had a flash of another life as a male somewhere in the middle east. This aligns with some dreams I've had that I have yet to explore fully.
Reincarnation, or past lives, is a fascinating concept that is widely believed across the globe. I've only scraped the surface of it in today's blog and will have to re-visit it another time. If you are interested in the podcasts I mentioned above, I will include info below. I will also include the link to Simon Bown's website if you wish to try past life regression over Zoom.
